Competence Network Mechatronics in Eastern Bavaria

The key to success

News section

Common Goals

Cooperation between the partners in the region is to be improved and intensified through the network. A good and lively exchange of experience should be created among the partners, but also among the employees.

This exchange is to develop across all areas in the companies, from the trainers to the developers and HR departments, and cooperation and networking are also to contribute to intensifying the exchange and transfer between the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Regensburg, the Technische Hochschule Deggendorf, the Ostbayerische Technische Hochschule Amberg-Weiden, other universities and research institutions and the partners.

Silver Label Assessment

From 2009 to 2012, the European Cluster Excellence Initiative (ECEI), an initiative of the European Commission’s Directorate-General for Enterprise and Industry, aimed to develop methods and tools to support cluster organizations in order to improve their competencies in the management of networks and clusters.

This is why 13 project partners from 9 countries have developed a quality labeling system for professional cluster management. The competence network is certified according to the European Cluster Management Excellence with the Bronze and Silver Label.

Studying at the Cham campus

A project like the Cham campus can only succeed with the support of companies from the region. The Mechatronics Network Eastern Bavaria, with a large number of companies from various sectors, is one of the largest regional mechatronics networks in Bavaria and offers the best opportunities for cooperation with the TC.

The Campus works primarily with these companies on projects. Joint cooperation is intensified through regular events and further training measures.

International Mechatronics

Together with partners from Bavaria, Upper Austria and Switzerland as well as the Euregio partner regions of Tyrol and Trentino, NOI Techpark is organizing the International Mechatronics Forum 2023 to provide the automotive, mechanical engineering, agricultural engineering and IT sectors with a platform for presenting research and development results and initiating new partnerships.

The venue is the NOI Techpark in Bruneck, which opened in May – a center for the sustainable mobility of tomorrow with a strong focus on sustainable production.
